Hi! So I’ve taken a bit of a break from recording improvisations and I’ve been thinking where I should go next, and so I’ve decided to start a new project! This one’s a bit different: each week I record an improvisation inspired by a famous work of art, starting with the Mona Lisa. Since it’s a bit less intensive to upload each week, I’m also going to be uploading each improvisation to my YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@Devoid1_) along with some more detailed commentary on each recording, so subscribe to me there if you want to see that. Hopefully this is a cool project to branch out a bit with my improv style.

YUHHHHHHHHHHHHH ITS DONE!!

I’m so happy with this project, it’s been a really enjoyable experience. 365 improvised tracks, almost 13,000 total listens, an average of 35 listens per track, and 37 wonderful fans. It’s insane to me how far I’ve come with this since I started it a year ago: my improvisation has definitely changed improved and I’ve developed new techniques and skills in the process. I’d like to thank everyone who’s listened to tracks, left reviews or followed me: I’m so grateful to all of you for appreciating what I do and I can’t wait to continue my musical journey with you.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to start uploading a few videos of some of the improvisations onto my YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@Devoid1_) so subscribe to me there if you want to see that. I also might try to upload all 365 tracks onto YouTube in groups of 10, but I’m not sure how long that will take.

As for what I do here, I’m gonna continue uploading occasional improvisations, maybe some titled ones too, and I also will try to upload some of my compositions, either played by me on the piano or synthesised by Sibelius. I think doing another project similar to Improv 365 would be great but I’m not sure exactly what to do, so if anyone has any suggestions please leave them down below. I love improvising and any excuse to do so and release them here will be readily taken up.

I’ve finished exams now and it’s the final stretch of the project. I haven’t uploaded anything in a while, partly due to a small number of missed tracks, but mainly due to lack of time to upload everything. Today I am hoping to upload the 36 tracks that I haven’t yet uploaded, and then I really want to finish the project without any missed recordings; hopefully I can fulfil that. Thanks to everyone for being patient and supporting me, see you soon!

It’s the final 100 barrier! 300 tracks done, and just 65 to go. It feels amazing to be so close to finishing this project, I’ve enjoyed every second of it so far. Thanks as always to everyone who listens in to my improvisations, and see you in 65 days time!

Hi everyone. I’ve not uploaded anything for about two weeks now, and I’ll admit that I have been slacking quite a bit. I’ve been really busy these last couple of weeks, and things are only gonna get busier in exam season, but I am going to try to do two recordings per day for the next few weeks in order to really make progress with this project. I’m disappointed in myself for the lack of discipline, but hopefully I’ll be able to pull through and make the final date of June 22nd for completing the project!

I’ve been a little wayward with uploading recordings for the last couple of weeks because of wifi issues and school stuff. However I’m on holiday now so I should be able back into a consistent routine.
